It is important that all plans are reviewed and considered as we try to be most effective in transporting our residents around the Tampa Bay Area. I have long thought that a ferry system should be in place somewhere out of the Apollo Beach area to MacDill AFB, St. Pete and Downtown Tampa, not only for commuters, but for residents to explore all of what the Bay Area has to offer. This plan appears to address many of these items, mainly, in the beginning, taking commuters off the highways and creating a ferry from South Hillsborough County to MacDill AFB.
