Making Christmas Reality a HUGE Success in 2016!

Today marks the end of the 2016 drive to aid

area veterans and their families who have

transitioned from homelessness to housing!

"Making Christmas Reality" was spawned in 2015

in an effort to bring holiday spirit to these families.

This year, the efforts resulted in helping 8 families, including 24 children

and introducing a "family" gift to the mix, as well.

A Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament was held

during the year, to supplement the funds needed for

this annual event.

The collection of gifts spanned a little over a month

and ended with a wrapping party and pick up.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and their

SSVF (Supportive Services for Veterans Families)

is the local charity providing the names of the families.
